Videoblogging theoretics, being the media, and the completely improvised future of a world currently without rhyme, reason or good beetroot fertiliser.
I've been bitten by the infamous Qmaster "Unable to connect to background process" error in Final Cut Pro Studio's Compressor 2.1. I've tried every fix documented on both the Apple support forums and 3rd party forums, and I cannot fix the problem. Even a complete reinstall didn't fix it.
If anyone knows of a fix, that doesn't include sudo starting Qmaster from the StartupItems directory, moving the hostconfig file, reinstalling, or chown/chmodding, can you please let me know.
Meanwhile, I'm stuck exporting to QuickTime, which is pain in the arse when I now have to export two customised formats for every video.
Update: see my later post Apple's Compressor and Qmaster - Fixing the 'Unable to connect to background process' error dialog problem
